Itten Flyover Bridge is a 220 m long Twin Bridge located in Salalah Oman  Each bridge is 12740 mm in width to accommodate two lanes and shoulders. The clear gap between the two bridges decks is only 10 mm, A technical study to compare variable alternatives for the main system was made, and then the most appropriate and optimum system was adopted. The concrete bridge deck is mainly two vents post tensioned concrete box section with depths (2000-2250 mm). The bridge maximum span is 51000 mm.The concrete box girder is supported on concrete piers through elastomeric bearings. The concrete piers consist of concrete cap beam supported on oval shaped concrete columns. Foundations are typically concrete raft supported on concrete piles.Ramps and approach slabs were designed as concrete slab on grade and mechanical stabilized Walls system was adopted to support soil pressure under ramps. Abutments are concrete Walls with double wing walls (U) shaped supported on concrete raft.
